UJA-Federation of New York’s Larchmont-Mamaroneck Campaigns Honor
Linda and Jeff Solomon

UJA-Federation of New York’s Larchmont-Mamaroneck Campaigns honored Linda and Jeff Solomon of Larchmont at the 2010 Community Celebration. The event took place on Tuesday, June 8th, at Larchmont Temple.

The event provided guests with an opportunity to pay tribute to the Solomons for their leadership in the Larchmont and Mamaroneck communities and to support the crucial work of UJA-Federation.

Linda and Jeff Solomon share a passion for community involvement and volunteerism that dates back to their childhood in Pittsburgh. Active in the Larchmont-Mamaroneck and overall Westchester community, the Solomons sit on the boards of numerous Jewish organizations, including the Jewish Family Counseling Service of Hudson County, the JCC Maccabi Youth Games, and the Jewish Community Centers Association of North America.

At UJA-Federation, Jeff Solomon is a former chair of the Larchmont-Mamaroneck General Campaign and member of the Westchester Campaign Board. Linda Solomon has served on numerous Westchester Women’s Philanthropy committees. A member of the B’nai Mitzvah Committee at Westchester Jewish Center in Mamaroneck, she also is an active PTA volunteer at Chatsworth Elementary School and Hommocks Middle School.

Jeffrey Solomon was founding member of Ramius Capital Group and is current chief operating officer of Cowen Group. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he is also responsible for overseeing the private investment portfolio at Ramius, which he co-founded in 1994. Linda Solomon graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master of Science degree in physical therapy. She maintains her license to practice, but currently raises the couple’s three children — Ryan, Spencer, and Kate — full time.

Suzanne and Jake Jacoby of Larchmont and Amy and David Kriss of Larchmont served as event chairs, while Laurie and Stephen Girsky of Mamaroneck served as chairs of the event’s commemorative journal.
