Amy Hagar Participates in
EHE’s Red Dress Campaign

Amy Hagar, a Larchmont native, is one of thirty-five women who participated in EHE’s Red Dress campaign helping to build awareness about heart disease. To recognize Heart Health Month, the women wore elegant red dresses to commemorate the initiative. Six times more likely to afflict women than breast cancer, EHE and its supporters are determined and eager to address this deadly disease.

EHE International provides women free heart screenings, health checkups, and a makeover including hair, makeup, and a choice of their favorite designer red gowns. Many of the women participating in the Red Dress event have either individually or through a close loved one, had a life changing experience with cardiovascular disease.

EHE International has helped celebrate this campaign with all of their employees, regardless of gender, wearing an item of red clothing on February 4th and donating the proceeds for every Red Dress pin sold. For additional information visit www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/hearttruth/wrd/.
