Professional artist Patricia Miner -Sutherland has announced that Barbara Datino and Robert Polstein, two students from her Senior Art class are now exhibiting their work at Mamaroneck Town Center until the end of January.
“I have noticed how great it is for the exhibitors to be showcased for 3 months,” Sutherland remarks. “They share the space. I try to pick artists that have very different styles so there is no competition.”
“Barbara Datino has lovely acrylic landscapes from Mamaroneck and Larchmont on view,” Sutherland explains. “She has been painting in my class for 9 years.”
She was Assistant Director of Pastoral Care at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Harrison. When she retired she worked as editor of “Health Notes” published by Catholic Passionist Order and was the ombudsman for New York State at various nursing homes and a hospital volunteer.
“Robert Polstein excels at watercolors which depict his summers in Cape Cod,” says Sutherland.
He has lived in Larchmont for 47 years, commuting to Manhattan where he was a trial lawyer. Now retired, he began painting in watercolors joining plein air groups during his summers at Cape Cod. He joined the Senior art class a year ago.
